DOGS - MAN'S BEST FRIENDS

The dog, what a beautiful and living animal. No wonder why it is called man's best friend. If you have ever had a dog I think you would understand how precious and loving a dog can be. I used to have a dog. It was wonderful while it lasted. I really loved my dog. I felt very sad when it died. Well In this article I am going to talk about dogs.

WHAT ARE DOGS(SCIENTIFICALLY)?

A dog is a mammal of the family candae, the order carnivora, phylum chordata and from the kingdom Animalia. It's scientific name is canis lupus familiaris. They are really beautiful with their long noses(or snouts). We know them for their sense of smell. Their sense smell is so acute that they can smell things up to 20 kilometers away. Their sense of smell is so strong. To illustrate how strong their noses are, think of a cake. You may be able to know it's from outside, but adog can smell all the ingredients. Their noses are really powerful. They can also detect noises far off the range a human can hear. Cool right?

Dogs are really adaptable. They can live in forests, grasslands, rain forests, etc. Even though they can live in The forest and in the wild, today we live with them in our homes. Today many people have dogs in their homes and I think it's

There are so many breeds of beautiful dogs. I am going to list just a few.

A DOG'S LIFESPAN

Though the lifespan of a dog depends on the breed and some factors, the average lifespan of a dog is around 10 to 13 years.

WHAT ARE THE COMMON DISEASE DOGS GET?

One of them I think we all know is Rabies. It affects their mental health, their spinal chord, etc. Dogs can get rabies by getting bitten by infected animals. This affects their nervous system.

Another one is canine distemper. This is a contagious disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems of dogs according to avma.org. 

Dogs get it through airborne exposure to the virus from an infected dog or wild animal. It can also be transmitted through sharing food and water bowls according to avma.org. 

There are many if them.
