The cherry blossom (The pride of Japan)

The cherry blossom, a pink beauty. It is a flower of many trees of genus prunus or prunus subg. They are also known as the Japanese cherry or Sakura. They generally refer to ornamental trees, but not to be confused with cherry trees that produces fruit for eating. It is considered to be the national flower of Japan.
